Young Sporting Endeavour Program
Having more than 13,600 young Australians participated since 1988, the internationally recognised not for profit Young Endeavour Program promotes the opportunity for young Australians to experience a unique challenge at sea aboard Australia’s national sail training ship Young Endeavour.
Each ship will embark up to 24 individuals for an eleven day program who will learn the skills to sail, navigate, keep watch, cook in the galley, take the helm and climb the 30 metre mast, whilst simultaneously developing resilience, self-confidence, teamwork, and leadership and communication skills.
No prior sailing experience is required and the standard voyage fee is $1,950 (Inc. GST) and includes; a uniform, kit bag, all meals, use of wet weather and safety equipment. A limited number of financially assisted berths are available to eligible applicants.
Individuals aged 16-23 can apply via an online ballot for voyages between June and December 2018 and for voyages between January and July 2019.
